Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are being discussed in this study along with their present and future uses
in the pharmaceutical sector. Drug research, development, and decision making are greatly aided by AI and ML methodologies,
thanks to the amount of high-quality data. Innovations in AI and ML give rise to Industry 4.0 and Continuous Manufacturing.
The pharmaceutical sector will inevitably undergo changes due to the fast emergence of new technology. Various pharmaceutical
processes, including drug repurposing, clinical research, overall productivity, and advanced and future pharmaceutical
employment, may affect these areas and more. When combined with smart PAT (process analytical technology) tools, these
cutting-edge technologies will cause a shift in pharmaceutical production from batch to continuous. Integrated, automated, and
self-organizing manufacturing technologies are the hallmarks of business 4.0 as they pertain to the pharmaceutical business.
In order to strengthen research, regional development, and nation-building, cluster-based research was also the subject of this
study.
